Meet the Judges!

The Judges for Jesse's "My Best Friend's Got Personality" Contest include:

·         Ashley and Kaine   

·         Tiffany, Bella, and Ash

·         Heather and Jesse

How will the entries be scored?

The judging criteria for each video will be based on:

·         Creativity (10pts)

·         Entertainment value (10pts)

·         Expression/Happiness of Dog (10pts)

Each judge will score the individual entries based on the three points above. The combined scores will them be used to determine the winner of the contest.

The entry with the highest combined score from the three judges will be declared the Grand Prize Winner.

*In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be decided on the highest score in the "Expression/Happiness of Dog" category.

Get to know the Judges

Ashley and Kaine

Ashley is a certified dog trainer who takes a holistic approach to dog training. She uses relationship-based training and clicker training. Ashley is blessed to share her life with a sweet and multi-talented six year old German Shepherd Dog named Kaine. Kaine is Ashley's first and only dog. Ashley and Kaine's relationship is based on two-way communication, mutual trust and respect.

They share an unbreakable bond that has led to numerous incredible achievements including earning the Canine Good Citizen Award for the American Kennel Club, starring in a national PetSmart commercial with Bret Michaels for the Pet's Rock Collection, appearing on Nick at Nite for the 1st Annual World Wide Fido Awards in 2008, earning a therapy dog title from Therapy Dog International, appearing on Gourmutt Goodies Cheese flavored dog treats, earning the Novice Trick Dog Title from the Trick Dog Trainers Association, and appearing in PetSmart's Groom Styles by Breed book.

Ashley and Kaine's training and bond has also earned them spots in and on the cover of magazines, national commercials, infomercials, a canine health DVD, local news stations, and nation television shows. Ashley and Kaine have had the opportunity to perform in obedience and trick demonstrations for the Pet-a-Palooza, the Dog Days of Winter, the Litchfield Park Seniors, and a Boat and RV Show.

Kaine is the one who inspired Ashley to pursue dog training. Kaine is Ashley's best friend, teacher, inspiration, and heart dog. Ashley and Kaine are currently training for agility and hope to one day take home a championship title.

Tiffany, Bella, and Ash

Tiffany Hughes is the founder and owner of Wind Wolf Photography. At 21 years old, she is finishing up her undergraduate degree at Northern Arizona University.

Tiffany has 2 personal dogs: Ash, the 1 yr. old female Blue Merle Australian Shepherd and Bella, the almost 9 year old female Australian Cattle Dog (Queensland Blue Heeler). She also fosters  with Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue in addition to volunteering her photography skill with the rescue group. Bella is her first dog, and what got her so interested in working with dogs.

Tiffany decided to combine her two passions of animals and photography as a People & Pet Portrait Photographer. Long-term, she will do Photography first and foremost and will be a dog trainer as her second job.

Heather and Jesse

Heather and Jesse are big supporters of the relationship-based training movement and believe in enhancing the canine-human relationship in all that they do. Whether they are inspiring others to play with their dogs, speaking out about the power of having a great relationship with your dog, or performing tricks to bring smiles to people's faces, they are always moving toward a better understanding between dogs and their people.

Jesse is Heather's best friend, heart dog, and constant companion; always ready for whatever adventure life throws their way. Because of their wonderful relationship, they have been able to achieve many accomplishments. From appearing on national and international television shows, starring in print ads, commercials, and movies, to performing live shows, and becoming a star of many viral YouTube videos; Jesse and Heather have achieved these goals together as a team, with their unbreakable bond at the heart of it all.

Heather is a studio dog handler, as well as a certified dog trainer who uses a holistic approach to training. The bond and relationship between a dog and their person is the foundation of their training philosophy.

Jesse is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier, who is a canine actor, model, and entertainer. Jesse dreams of starring in a feature-length movie, as the hero dog with the leading role. He is continually expanding his vocabulary and polishing his skills; ready for when that big break will come.  

In addition to being a dog trainer for star bound dogs, Heather plans on raising and training service dogs for people who are in need of a four-legged helper with a big heart.

When will the Winner be Announced?

The Winner will be announced November 28th, 2012 in a YouTube video as well as in another Blog entry.
